We are excited to share some wonderful news about an upcoming fundraising event that promises to be a spectacular evening of music, theatre, and community spirit. Steve Coates, a local producer who recently sold out four theatre shows in York, is organising a special event in support of The Snappy Trust.

After meeting some of our incredible children and young people at one of his performances, he felt inspired to make a difference. A spokesperson for Steve Coates Music Productions shared:

"One of the cast knew about The Snappy Trust, and soon enough, the invites were sent. Steve went to see the children and carers about halfway through the show and saw firsthand how much they were enjoying it and the impact it seemed to be having on them. He felt compelled to do something more and, following a day spent with the Trust, he said, 'let's create a show' to raise funds and set the ball rolling."

The result of this heartfelt connection is ‘A Million Dreams,’ a huge music event that will take place on Saturday, 25th January 2025, at the Grand Opera House in York. The event aims to raise vital funds to support our work at The Snappy Trust, where we are dedicated to maximising the personal development of children and young people with a wide range of disabilities.

The two-act performance will feature local talent, including the Flying Ducks Youth Theatre and a ten-piece big-band led by Alan Owens. Audiences can look forward to music from Broadway, the West End, and popular films, as well as a showcase of the incredible talent from our local community.

A spokesperson for Steve Coates Music Productions said:

"If you enjoy swing, big band, musical theatre and Broadway, you will be truly inspired."

This promises to be an unmissable event, full of joy, energy, and talent, all in support of a cause that makes a real difference to the lives of children and families in York.

We look forward to seeing you there and thank Steve and his team for their wonderful support!
